 Position: Program Officer (PO)

Applications are invited for a contractual position of Program Officer (PO) under a Project entitled “Technology Interventions to Strengthen Livelihood Generation for EWS of Selected Areas of Gujarat” approved by DST-SEED. The position is available at SPRERI initially for a period of 11 months, which will be extended based on the performance of the candidate till completion of the project.

Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. Engineering (Agricultural / Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical / Civil / Renewable Energy) or PG in Engineering (Agricultural / Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical / Civil / Renewable Energy / Environmental Biotechnology) with experience in handling Science & Technology-based societal projects.

Desirable: Candidates with experience in the renewable energy/energy sector. He/she should be able to work in a team along with researchers with diverse thoughts and should be able to perform the given tasks independently within a stipulated time period. The job work will also involve field surveys related to solar, biomass, and biogas plant installations, site operations, and staying in rural/tribal areas for surveys/inspections/system installations.  Activities such as on-site visits as per the plan, data collection, and draft report preparation will be carried out.
