• Compared to the old traditional stoves, the dhaba size stove given by SPRERI has negligible smoke and therefore more comfortable in use.

• Earlier, I used clay stove, it used to produce a lot of smoke, causing eyes irritation and sometimes headache & coughing and blackening of walls. Also, the consumption of wood was high.
• Ever since I got the family size cook stove from SPRERI, there is no smoke and no burning sensation in eyes. The consumption of wood is reduced. The blackening of the surrounding walls is eliminated.

Benefits of using biogas plant installed by SPRERI
• Instead of cattle dung direct use in farm as fertilizer, the digested slurry from biogas plant resulted in very less weeds and has improved the quality and increased the production of the crop
• Eliminated pesticide and chemical fertilizers use provides significant saving in farming expenses.
• Provides free bio-gas for cooking for 8 to 10 peoples on daily basis, earlier using LPG for cooking costed ₹ 700-800 monthly.

Benefits of using biogas plant installed by SPRERI
• Used the digested slurry of the biogas plant as fertilizer resulting into organic farming. Benefit in cost savings by avoiding use of chemical fertilizers. In addition, organic food will be better option to customers health and will keep them free from disease.
• Application of slurry mixed with organic matter to banana/potato crop as fertilizer has resulted in the better crop quality and increase in yield.
• The gas produced from the biogas plant is used for cooking in home, hence LPG is saved

The performance of walk-in type solar tunnel dryer installed by SPRERI for drying of moringa, papaya and spinach leaves is satisfactory. Other benefits observed are:
• More consistent quality product in terms of colour, texture, shelf life.
• The system provides protection against natural contamination such as dust, dirt and safety from birds and insects
• Drying is much faster than open sun drying. Saving in drying time compared to open drying is 40 to 45 % less
• The dryer is economically viable and preferred to be replicated for drying application among small and marginal farmers.
